Ivy, also known as Hedera, is a climbing vine native to Europe. It's recognizable by its small, deep green leaves and is wonderfully easy to grow—perfect for beginners. With excellent shade tolerance and cold hardiness, it'll thrive in almost any corner of your home.
Bright indirect light is ideal, but ivy does well in partial shade too. It can overwinter as long as temperatures stay above 5°C, with 15–25°C being the sweet spot. Since it loves humidity, a light misting of the leaves now and then will keep it happy.

Water when the soil surface feels dry. Avoid keeping it constantly wet, but do water thoroughly until it drains from the bottom of the pot—then empty any excess from the saucer. Ivy enjoys humidity, but good airflow is equally important to prevent root rot.
