Evergreen is a legume-family evergreen tree native to South America. It's characterized by feathery leaflets arranged along slender stems that open during the day and close at night—a fascinating sleep movement. While it does require a bit of care, it's a popular houseplant that's genuinely rewarding to grow.
Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. Keep temperatures between 15–25°C (59–77°F), and never let it drop below 10°C (50°F). Humidity in the 50–70% range helps it thrive beautifully. A spot with good air circulation is perfect.
