Schefflera is a hardy foliage plant native to Taiwan, known for its bright green, umbrella-shaped leaves. It grows quickly and is beginner-friendly. With good shade tolerance and easy adaptation to indoor conditions, it brings a fresh, vibrant feel to any space.
Schefflera prefers bright, indirect light but tolerates lower light conditions well, so it can thrive even in the back of a room. Keep temperatures between 15–25°C; below 10°C growth slows noticeably, so move it to a warmer spot during winter. It's quite drought-tolerant, so you don't need to mist regularly, though occasional leaf misting is appreciated.

Water when the top of the soil feels dry to the touch, then water thoroughly until it drains from the bottom of the pot. Always empty any water sitting in the saucer to prevent root rot. Schefflera actually prefers to stay on the drier side—this is where it's happiest. Be especially careful not to overwater in winter.
