Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions under which Green Logs (the "Company") provides its houseplant watering management service (the "Service") to users ("Users"). By using the Service, Users agree to be bound by these Terms.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "User" means any individual or entity that agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
  2. "Registered Information" means the name, contact details, plant information, and other information Users provide to use the Service.
  3. "Intellectual Property Rights" means copyrights, patent rights, trademarks, design rights, and other intellectual property rights.

Article 3 (Overview of the Service)

  1. The Service provides information on appropriate watering timing and frequency based on plants registered by the User.
  2. The Service is intended as a convenience for Users and does not guarantee plant growth. Outcomes depend on environmental factors and individual plant variation.

Article 4 (Formation of the Service Agreement)

  1. Users wishing to use the Service must agree to these Terms and apply through the Company's designated method.
  2. The Company may accept or reject applications at its discretion. Upon acceptance, the Company notifies the User and the Service agreement is formed.
  3. The Company may refuse or terminate the agreement if the User:
    1. provides false, incorrect, or incomplete Registered Information,
    2. appears likely to violate these Terms, or
    3. is otherwise deemed unsuitable by the Company.

Article 5 (Account Management)

  1. Users must promptly notify the Company of any changes to their Registered Information.
  2. Users are responsible for managing their account credentials (IDs, passwords, etc.).
  3. Users must not transfer, lend, or rename their account.
  4. The Company is not liable for any damages arising from insufficient account management, misuse, or third-party use.

Article 6 (Prohibited Conduct)

Users must not:

  1. violate laws or public order and morals,
  2. engage in conduct related to criminal activity,
  3. infringe the intellectual property, image, privacy, reputation, or other rights of the Company, other Users, or third parties,
  4. use information obtained through the Service for commercial purposes without prior consent,
  5. interfere with the operation of the Service, or
  6. engage in any other conduct the Company deems inappropriate.

Article 7 (Intellectual Property)

  1. All intellectual property rights relating to the Service belong to the Company or its licensors.
  2. Users must not reproduce, transfer, lend, translate, adapt, or otherwise reuse any information provided through the Service without the Company's prior written consent.

Article 8 (Suspension, Change, and Termination)

  1. The Company may suspend or interrupt all or part of the Service without prior notice to Users.
  2. The Company may terminate the Service at its discretion with prior notice.
  3. The Company is not liable for any damages to Users or third parties arising from such suspension, interruption, or termination.

Article 9 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Company makes no warranty, express or implied, that the Service fits the User's particular purpose, has the expected functionality, is commercially valuable, is useful, accurate, up to date, or safe, or complies with applicable laws or industry rules.
  2. Except for willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Company is not liable for any damages Users incur in connection with the Service. If the Service is a paid service and the User is a consumer under Japan's Consumer Contract Act, the preceding disclaimer does not apply, but the Company is still not liable for damages arising from special circumstances (including those the Company foresaw or could have foreseen).
  3. The Company is not liable for any disputes arising between Users or between a User and a third party.

Article 10 (Personal Information)

The handling of personal information obtained in connection with the Service is governed by the separately established Privacy Policy.

Article 11 (Account Deletion)

  1. Users may delete their account at any time from the Service's settings screen.
  2. Upon account deletion, the Company permanently deletes all data associated with the User (profile information, registered plant information, watering history, uploaded photos, Google Calendar integration data, notification settings, etc.) from its systems.
  3. Deleted data cannot be restored. Please perform deletion operations with care.
  4. Information that the Company is required to retain under applicable laws will be kept only for the period required.

Article 12 (Changes to These Terms)

  1. The Company may change these Terms at any time without notice when it deems necessary.
  2. Changes take effect when posted on the Company's website, unless otherwise specified.

Article 13 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
  2. Any disputes relating to the Service shall be submitted to the district court having jurisdiction over the Company's head office as the court of exclusive agreed jurisdiction in the first instance.
